Public Service Opportunities – Casper Planning and Zoning Commission

Casper, Wyoming (Tuesday, November 12, 2024) – The City of Casper is accepting applications from interested citizens who wish to serve as a volunteer member of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews development applications and serves as an advisory board to the City Council.

The Commission consists of seven (7) City of Casper residents appointed to serve three-year terms who meet on the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm at City Hall.  Additional training/work sessions are also occasionally scheduled, as needed, and some volunteers attend various board meetings as a liaison.

If you are interested in participating in the rewarding and important work of the Casper Planning and Zoning Commission, please submit a letter of interest outlining any relevant experience and the reasons that you believe you would be a good addition to the Planning Commission.  Letters may be mailed to the Community Development Director (200 North David Street, Casper, WY  82601), or emailed to [email protected].  Please note on the envelope or subject line: “Planning and Zoning Commission Opening.”  The deadline to apply is 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
