Road and Water Improvements

Improvements to Bryan Stock Trail and Metro Road began late last week. Surface repairs as well as water main replacement under both roads will occur. “This project is just another example of infrastructure improvements funded by the Optional One Cent Sales Tax,” remarked City Manager Carter Napier. “We are continuing to make calculated improvements throughout Casper to roads, public safety, and water using the One Cent fund.”   The citizen survey and public forums ranked public safety, streets, and water as the priority areas for One Cent funding.

According to Project Engineer Ethan Yonker, “motorists can expect to encounter rough roads, reduced speed limits, and detours throughout the duration of the project as well as delays from a single lane of traffic.”  Access to the Casper Regional Solid Waste Facility, Metro Animal Control, Stuckenhoff Shooters Club, and other City of Casper facilities on Metro Road will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. The project is scheduled to be completed by September 13, 2019.
