The Recreation Center has expanded service offerings in accordance with state health guidelines. The expansion of services includes reopening the weight room, locker rooms, and implementation of specified hours for singles pickleball and table tennis play.
Group sports including basketball, volleyball, and doubles pickleball and table tennis are still prohibited. At this time, patrons will be permitted in the building without making a reservation. In the event the area is filled to capacity, patrons will be asked to come back at a later time.
Hours of operation for the Recreation Center will remain in modified format:
• Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Fridays from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Sundays – CLOSED
Due to current restrictions, patrons will be permitted to use the following areas as capacity permits:
• Cardio Room: capacity 10
• West Gymnasium: capacity 15 (for additional cardio equipment use)
• East Gymnasium: capacity 15. (Basketball (individual), exercising, etc) and SINGLES only pickleball play (Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-11 am)
• Weight Room: capacity 10
• Activity Room: capacity 10 (Open only for drop-in SINGLES table tennis on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-11 am)
• Locker Rooms: capacity 8 per room (Daily lockers and steam rooms will remain closed; annually rented lockers and showers will be available to patrons)
All workout equipment will be cleaned by staff in between each patron use, per state order. Additionally, locker rooms will be properly cleaned, and any lockers used will be disinfected after each use (patrons must let the front desk know they will be using an annually rented locker and what the locker number is.)
Patrons must either scan in with a current Recreation Center pass or complete a day pass form for COVID-19 tracing in the event that this becomes necessary.
Staff and patrons are encouraged to keep their social distance of a minimum of 6’ at all times.

The facility serves as a site for a wide variety of programs and drop-in activities, in addition to being the focal point of recreation services in the community. The Recreation Center features a gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, weight room, cardio fitness room, locker rooms, game room, Funshine Corner and several multi-purpose rooms and meeting areas.  Classes in dance, sports, martial arts, arts and crafts, specialty interests, and more are offered at convenient times for all ages!

Pottery Painting Parties

Get creative with a Pottery Painting Party at the Casper Recreation Center! Participants select a pre-fired bisque item and paint their piece as they wish. Parties include bisque pieces, painting supplies, craft instructor (for the first hour of the party) and use of a craft room for two hours. Paint...then party! Pottery will be fired after the party and may be picked-up by participants at a later date. Price is $110 for up to 8 painters and $10 for each additional painter. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance by contacting the Administrative office at 235-8403.


No place to go on a rainy, snowy or windy day? The newly renovated Funshine Corner offers children a safe and warm indoor play area. The park is open during normal operating hours and is available for private rental.  Membership or daily admission fees apply. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Private rental rate is 25/hr.  

Game Room

Play pool or table tennis and enjoy the BIG screen TV in our Game Room. Vending and drink machines are available to grab a snack and cool off while you chill out. Casper Recreation Center Pass or Daily Admission required. Must be 8 years old or order to play pool.
The Game Room can also be rented for a private party! $15.00 per hour.  Call 235-8403.

Drop-In Sports

Join others and play the sports and games you love! Admission is a Recreation Center Pass or $4.00 Daily Use Fee.


Pickleball is a game played on a badminton-sized court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the Pickleballcenter. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. Pickleball is easy to learn and will quickly grow into a fast-paced, competitive and fun game!  Drop-in Pickleball will be held Monday - Friday from 9:00-11:00 am and Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30-4:45 pm and Fridays from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Table Tennis

Drop-in table tennis in the Activity Room. Bring your paddle or borrow one of ours!  Drop-in table tennis will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00-11:00 am and Sundays from 1:30-3:30 pm.


Nets are set up for drop-in volleyball each weekend: Saturdays, 4:00-7:00 pm and Sundays, 3:30-6:00 pm. Volleyballs are available for check-out from the Front Desk.


Stop by the Recreation Center for pick-up hoops! Basketballs are available for check-out from the Front Desk. Drop-in basketball hours are Monday-Friday from 11:30 am-1:30 pm and all other times the gym is not in use.
